Principal's Message
|
Dear Families, It is with great joy that I welcome you to Father Lopez Catholic High School! I have been working for Father Lopez in some capacity since 1990. I was humbled and honored when I first took on the role of Principal, and I am still excited about what the future holds for our wonderful community. Father Lopez was founded in 1959 as part of the Diocese of St. Augustine and subsequently became part of the Diocese of Orlando when it was founded in 1968. We hold the missionary spirit of Fr. Lopez, who landed in St. Augustine in 1565 to share the Gospel message. Spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and creating a world of peace and justice are at our core as we fulfill our mission of Academic Excellence within the Catholic Tradition. We are in a partnership with our families, one that we see as a sacred trust and has the good of every child at its center. We believe in educating the mind, body, and soul of every student. We hope to form each young person into the best version of themselves, understanding that they are holy children of God. We do this in relationship: relationship with each child, relationship with each family, and most importantly, in relationship with God. We welcome you to this very special community. May you experience the love and peace of our Lord in those you meet as we strive to serve all in humility and love. Peace and Joy to you, Marie Gallo-Lethcoe, Principal |
